Drywall Service Tips on Skim Coat Jobs
We continue with the topic from the skim coat blog. Coat your roller and apply the compound to a small area on your wall. You should work in sections here in order to prevent the drywall drying before you are able to smooth it out. Work in areas of approximately 4 feet square or so.
Now that you have applied this, take your trowel and place the squeegee knife on top. Now, run the trowel down the compound, start at the top and slowly work your way down. This helps to smooth out the compound. Should the compound crack, do not worry this is fine.
